Today I met with the Nucleus team to discuss what tasks we should all be focusing on at the moment. After the meeting I went to the media labs and animated a very simple breakdown of the movement in Shot 32. I struggled to get the movement down, as it is just a short scene, and in the original animatic scene it is just a still frame moving across the screen. I was particularly struggling with making the character leaving the frame look natural.
I sketched over my draft, drawing in the inbetweens rather than moving the frames I'd already drawn, as I realised that was what made it look as though she was sliding off screen. I think the version below is a vast improvement.
